At present, any citizen or immigrant can inform about crimes based on racism by phone. Members of the unit that consists of about 200 policemen will inform the victims of the crimes about their rights and help them to get medical and psychological assistance.
Papangiannopoulos said the illegal immigrants would not be deported if they contact police.
