In Cuba, Chavez takes an additional course of treatment

Preisdent Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, currently in Cuba following cancerous surgery, has taken an additional course of treatment.

This came in a statement on Friday night by Venezuelan Vice-President Nicolas Maduro, following his return to Caracas from Havana.

According to him, the Venezuelan leader smiles, feels optimistic and believes that his treatment will prove successful.

Chavez sent a number of messages via Maduro, including a message to the people of Venezuela.

He specifically urges the people to remain on their guard in the face of a permanent conspiracy between Imperialism and the “right forces”, as well as disprove opposition lies.
