The Myre Seadiver motor ship was detained at the Nigerian seaport Lagos in October last year on suspicion of arms smuggling.
The crew did have several sub-machineguns and ammunition on board to protect them against pirates, with the munitions declared as required.
It transpired earlier that the Nigerian court has postponed the Russians’ cellular detention until February 14, however, no charges have been brought against them.
