Information that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party is allegedly planning to withdraw all its militants from Turkey to the north of Iraq appeared in the Turkish daily “Sabah” on Thursday.
Earlier, Turkish officials reached in agreement with the head of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party Abdullah Ocalan, who is serving a lifetime sentence in prison, that the party will stop any military actions against the government in February.
The Kurdistan Workers’ Party has been fighting for Kurdistan’s sovereignty since the 1980s.
