The first explosion rocked the bird market in the Shiite Kadhimiyah neighbourhood in the northern part of Baghdad, when 2 car bombs detonated simultaneously, killing 16 people and injuring 44.
Later another 2 car bombs exploded on the vegetable market in the town of al-Shumali not far from Hill, 100 kilometres south of Baghdad. As a result, 15 people were killed.
The third terrorist attack was carried out in Karbala, where a car that was parked nearby exploded too, killing 3. None of the extremist groups has taken responsibility for these attacks.

30 die in spate of terrorist attacks in Iraq
Some 30 people have died, while dozens of others have been injured in a string of blasts in Baghdad and Babil Province in central Iraq, according to the Inter-Arab TV Channel Al-Jazeera.
Several car bombs went off one after another on the poultry market in the Shiite quarter in the north of the capital city. Two more car bombs went off in Shomali area in Babil
Province. No one has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks.
