Brazil cancels $900 million in African debt: presidency
Ministry officials point out that the inspectors’ aircraft will take off from the airport of the Italian city Ciampino from the 11th to the 15th of February. Inspection routes will exceed 2,000 kilometres.
This will be the second survey flight that Russia has made over the countries that are signatories to the treaty. Russian inspectors first flew over Greece from the 4th to the 8th of February.
The Treaty on Open Skies was signed in 1992 by 34 countries. Survey flights are made over the United States, Canada, European countries and Russia. The basic objective of this kind of flight is monitoring the way the arms control agreements are observed.
