This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the heels of a meeting with Algerian President Abdel Aziz Bouteflika.
"We confirmed our views on how to promote reform of the international system, firstly, in terms of supporting rule of law, the need to resolve conflicts through political and diplomatic means, without interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign states," - he said.
The Minister underscored this was the stance adopted by Moscow and Algiers with regard to events in North Africa and the Middle East.
According to Lavrov, the parties agreed to continue a political dialogue at all levels, coordinating their foreign policy.
