The court in Lagos delivered a ruling Thursday, saying that the case of the Russian sailors – the crewmembers of the Myre Seadiver cargo ship – who have been under arrest in Nigeria since October 2012, should be filed to the federal court of a higher instance.
The Russian sailors are accused of an illegal entry into Nigeria and also of an illegal possession of weapons despite the fact that all the necessary documents were given to the Nigerian side in due time.
