If the negative expectations prove correct, the Tokyo Electric Power Operator Company will have to take a set of measures to protect the nuclear plant from a likely earthquake.
The Higashidori nuclear power plant happens to be the second plant to have been built over a geological fault. Earlier, this kind of fault was discovered under a power-generating unit of the Tsuruga nuclear power plant.
