The first energy unit of the long-due power station has been finished with the help of Russian experts. The Indo-Russian joint venture was set up on Nov. 20, 1988, with an additional agreement signed on June 21, 1998.
The second energy unit is almost operational. “India expects the nuclear power plant to start generating power in March,” a source close to Russia’s state-run energy corporation told reporters.
