Russia’s Maria Sharapova has moved up to second place in the WTA ranking after beating Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki 6-2, 6-2 during last week’s international tennis tournament in Indian Wells, the United States.
First and third positions are held by the US’ Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenko of Belarus, respectively.
