Argentina has started a ‘squid war’ against the Falkland Islands (Las Malvinas). The Argentine government has told fishermen to catch squid before they reach the waters surrounding the territory claimed by the UK.  Buenos-Aires hopes that this move will hurt the Falklands’  fishing industry because half of its profits come from the export of squid.
