Medvedev sets Russia's policy priorities

Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev outlined the government’s legal policy priorities as he addressed the International Legal Forum which started off in St.Petersburg on May 16th. Medvedev said that Russia should pursue an open legal policy at home and abroad and should ensure that the doctrine of national sovereignty is preserved.

Viktor Bout may not go to Maximum Security jail

Russia’s Viktor Bout sentenced to 25 years in prison for arms smuggling will not be sent to a high-security jail in Colorado. His wife Alla told the VoR, that the court didn’t comment on where Bout will be sent. Investigators changed their plans after consultations with Bout’s lawyers, prosecutors and Judge Shira Scheindlin.
