Olga Fyodorova

Olga Fyodorova was born in Moscow in 1947. During her eventful and successful career she passed all the stages of musical education, from music school to conservatory.

Olga Fyodorova worked as a conductor for the Leningrad (St.Petersburg) Court Capella and was the founder of the Moscow Philharmonic Society’s press service.

She started to work for The Voice of Russia (then Radio Moscow) in 1976, as editor. Over the years, she has advanced to the post of radio observer. She is currently running a number of the Voice of Russia’s high-profile programs, including MUSIC AND MUSICIANS, MUSICAL TALES and MUSIC CALENDAR.

Olga Fyodorova has interviewed nearly all of Russia’s celebrity musicians, including M.Rostropovich, Y.Svetlanov, V.Gergiev, Y.Temirkanov, R.Shchedrin, V.Spivakov, Y.Bashmet, D.Bashkirov, E.Virsaladze, N.Gutman, G.Vishnevskaya, I.Arkhipova, Y.Nesterenko, V.Atlantov, Y.Obraztsova, D.Matsuyev, A.Gindin, Y.Mechetina and B.Andrianov.

Olga Fyodorova writes a lot for newspapers and magazines and teaches History of Music and History of Music Theatre at the Boris Shchukin Institute of Theatrical Arts.
