The brilliant Mark Twain famously said: “It were not best that we should all think alike; it is difference of opinion that makes horse races”.
Presuming that international politics bear a strong resemblance to horse racing – though if you ask me I’d rather prefer the latter – hearing different opinions, exchanging views, searching for new angles and perspectives – is something that might bring a better understanding of what’s going on and where our World is heading.
Diversity is also something that makes the world so interesting to live in. Different faces, lifestyles, traditions and cultures all make up a magic patchwork, a treasure we’ve inherited from our thousands of years’ old history. Would be a real shame to lose it…
In fact – this is the philosophy behind this program – Burning Point – a 30 minute daily talk show on different, and mostly, trend-setting developments in world politics. The jewels of the show are expert opinions, brought to you in brief five-to-seven-minute interviews from all over the world. These are supplemented with a world press review. Altogether that produces an all-round perspective of problems we are talking about.
Every day, doing our show, we keep on discovering new angles and aspects in ‘instant’ breaking news in the world media. So, if listening to our show you get the same feeling – that means our program has made a difference. And the difference – well, that makes horse races ))).
Thanks for joining us
Best
