Originally I'm from Bristol, England, but these days I work and live in Moscow, Russia.

A lot of people ask me how this came about. Well, back when I was a teenager I developed a strange interested in the Russian language which landed me on quite an unexpected life path.

After some time learning Russian I came to Moscow on an exchange in late 2004 and I enjoyed my time so much that I decided to come back again, and again.

Cutting a long story short, I taught myself Russian to a good standard and, after a stint studying and getting some qualifications, started working in various capacities which ended with me finding a job in my current position just over a year ago.

So these days I co-present a daily politics show on the Voice of Russia which has provided me with plenty of new knowledge and personal growth - a trend that I plan to continue developing indefinitely.
