Mosow is an unusual city because it hosts it's very own national park. This 30,000 hectare green area bursts into the city from the North East, and brings Muscovites an opportunity to get out into the countryside without having to go to the dacha, and see animals like elk without having to go to a zoo. But the park, like any area of great natural beauty in today's world, has its fair shares of troubles, some of which are only now being addressed. In the studio to discuss Elk Island is the park's deputy director, Vera Kiselyova, and Dr Ivan Smirnov, a biologist and expert on Elk Island's problems.
