Israel considers easing Gaza blockade

The Israeli Security Cabinet hasn't made any decision on easing the blockade of Gaza after its most recent meeting according to a participant, the Associated Press news agency reports.Meanwhile, Philippe Lazzarini, head of the UN humanitarian affairs office in Jerusalem, said that Israel has eased Palestinian movement between villages and towns by having dismantled 121 checkpoints in the past year. However, 505 checkpoints still block travel.He added that Israeli officials were limiting access by Palestinians to the Jordan River Valley and lands cut off by the Israeli barrier that jut into some parts of the West Bank.  RT
