Israel's defense minister is in Russia to hammer out a new deal with his counterpart in Moscow. Negotiations are likely to focus on fighting terrorism and providing security in the Middle East.Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdiukov and his Israeli counterpart Ehud Barak are expected to sign an agreement on defense cooperation between the two countries.“The agreement will regulate interaction of the two countries in the defense sector over five years,” said Colonel Irina Kovalchuk, press secretary of Russia's Defense Ministry.The deal will cover an exchange of experience and information in spheres of mutual interests, which also includes issues of international security.It also dwells on development of military education, medicine, physical training and other issues.According to Kovalchuk, the sides are also to talk cooperation in fighting international terrorism and security in the Middle East.Ehud Barak’s visit to Russia will last until September 7.
