FIFA vows to protect informers in efforts to fight match-fixing

FIFA will protect witnesses who report matches-fixing plots, FIFA’s Security director Chris Eaton said on Tuesday. In February, FIFA is due to launch a dedicated telephone hotline for witnesses, he added.   Eaton said that criminal groups in many countries intimidate soccer players and threaten to kill them if they report match-fixing schemes. →
